I normally work on wood and canvas using a variety of media including acrylic, oil, resin, and tar. When first beginning a piece, I start with a general idea of the direction I want to go in but leave room for the accidental.
Pieces usually take several weeks to complete depending on inspiration and weather. I draw mostly from my South Louisiana heritage, my family, my friends, nature, and the man-made.
I'm intrigued by how we impact the world we live in.
The stain of our existence...
I'm also interested in community development and social and cultural capital.
